Intellectual Disabilities Drive Money Distributed

The Philo Knights of Columbus (KC) Council recently distributed proceeds from the annual Intellectual Disabilities (Tootsie Roll) Drive. The funds generated from this drive are used to support local programs which help people with special learning needs. Over $340 was donated to the Swann Special Care Center. The center is a not-for-profit residential home and school for more than 100 children and adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities.

 

 

 

 

The Philo KC Council also recently distributed proceeds from th e annual Intellectual Disabilities (Tootsie Roll) Drive to Developmental Services Center (DSC).  Over $340 was donated to DSC whose mission is “to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing services and supports which enable them to live, work, learn and participate in their communities.”  As a tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation, DSC serves individuals who may have epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, cognitive disabilities, Down syndrome, or other disabling conditions.
